A little utilized area to ride, the Lower Klamath Refuge is home to amazing wildlife.

This flat gravel ride goes through the scenic Lower Klamath Wildlife Refuge. Good gravel, little to no traffic and nearly pan flat, this route lends itself to beginners or early season miles. Best ridden in the late winter or early spring to avoid winds and bugs. This area is famous for its bird watching during that time of year and you can almost certainly expect to see unique bird sightings.

While most any gravel type bike can do this route without much trouble, a Dual Sport is a great casual bike for it. It’s fast enough for the long road sections yet plenty capable for any kind of loose gravel. The suspension fork keeps you from getting too tired too!
